Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris did not have an “awkward” or “cold” night together at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday, nor is there “trouble” in their relationship, despite an entirely fabricated story. Gossip Cop can correct this nonsensical report. We’re told the claim is “so beyond absurd.”

According to the repeatedly discredited RadarOnline, there may be “trouble in paradise” between Swift and Harris. Despite what everyone witnessed while watching the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the webloid claims the couple “put on an awkward display of affection.” The outlet then has a so-called “eyewitness” allege, “Calvin hardly touched her except for when the cameras were on them.”

Among what the webloid views as proof there’s trouble in the relationship was that Swift was “animatedly” talking with Harris and not looking at the stage when her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas was performing. The site’s supposed other smoking gun is that Harris “sat down” as Swift’s standing ovation for winning Best Tour started to wind down. The outlet again then quotes its seemingly phony source as saying Swift and Harris “did not look like a couple who is head-over-heels in love.”

Now Gossip Cop will look at the facts. First off, despite the webloid’s claim that they “hardly touched,” Harris and Swift were the most affectionate they’ve been at an awards show. And contrary to the outlet’s belief that Swift talking to her boyfriend while Jonas performed is some sort of sign of relationship problems, it’s actually more of an indicator that the singer was entirely focused on Harris and not interested in what her ex was doing. Additionally, real people who were at the awards tell Gossip Cop they looked very much in love.

Of course, when Harris won for Dance Artist of the Year, the entire world saw Swift, with her head in her hands, smiling lovingly at her boyfriend of more than a year. And when she won the award for Best Tour, she even publicly stated in her acceptance speech that following the 1989 world tour, “I had the most amazing person to come home to when the spotlight went out and when the crowds were all gone, so I want to thank my boyfriend.”

A skeptic might think RadarOnline made up its story, which runs completely contrary to what the viewing public and Gossip Cop’s impeccable sources saw. Of course, this is the same webloid that we exclusively busted when it published a totally fictitious tale about Swift dating Bradley Cooper, a claim that the actor himself later called “horses**t.” It’s also the same outlet Gossip Cop exposed when it falsely reported Swift dissed Miley Cyrus’ hosting of the MTV Video Music Awards at an after-party the “Shake It Off” singer threw at her home. But, as we exclusively noted, Swift never had a VMAs party at her house that night. And it’s also the site that wrongly stated a few months ago that Swift had “dumped” Harris.

And there are even more highly inaccurate stories from the webloid that Gossip Cop has debunked. Suffice to say, its Swift sources are either among the worst out there or possibly fabricated. Either way, we still checked in with an insider, who exclusively assures us the site’s allegations of “trouble” in Harris and Swift’s relationship are “so beyond absurd.”
