A new tabloid report claiming Katy Perry has a crush on Calvin Harris and is eager to date him is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop looked into this story and we can exclusively reveal the truth.
The singer and Scottish DJ recently worked together on the hit song “Feels,” and now In Touch claims Perry developed feelings for her collaborator while recording the track. “Katy and Calvin haven’t always been on the best of terms, but she was a totally different side of him when they worked together,” a supposed “source” tells the magazine.
The outlet’s questionable insider goes on to say Perry “gets so nervous around Calvin because she thinks he’s so hot and loves his sense of humor,” while Harris finds the singer to be “very cute and fun.” Of course, the Scottish DJ used to date Taylor Swift, who had a falling out with Perry years ago. This prompted the “source” to note, “Katy has joked that she’d love to see Taylor’s face if she starts dating Calvin.”
But Gossip Cop looked into the magazine’s claim, and we’ve exclusively learned it’s all fabricated. A source close to the situation assures us Perry isn’t pursuing a romance with Harris. In fact, Gossip Cop called out OK! back in May when it similarly alleged Perry wanted to hook up with Harris to get revenge on Swift. The story wasn’t true than and it isn’t any more accurate now.
As for In Touch, the publication has quite a poor track record when it comes to accurately reporting about both music stars involved in this story. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid last year after it concocted a bogus story about Perry and Orlando Bloom having a “blowup” fight at Coachella. We also corrected the outlet after it made up a phony reason for Harris and Swift’s split. This latest article is more fiction from the repeatedly discredited magazine.
